My drawing is titled "3 Cups Drawing". We were to find three cups around the classroom and draw them to show the Four Basics of Composition. I decided to have the orientation of the paper be vertical since one of my cups was really tall. To create this drawing I used an ebony drawing pencil. Since I haven’t drawn in a while I didn’t have too many goals, I wanted to see where I was at with drawing. The one goal I did have was to make sure I didn’t have tangents in my drawing. After I completed my drawing we went over tangents and I realized that there was one in my drawing. Two of my cups had a fused edge so I moved one of them over to put space in between the two. Overall, I am not happy with how my finished drawing looks. I may have have done a good job with the height of the bases, but I do not think I did a good job with the proportions of the objects. However, I feel like I now understand the Four Basics of Composition a lot better than I did before this assignment.
